Job Description
Birchwood HealthCare Center, a Lifespark Skilled Nursing & Assisted Living Community, is looking for a dedicated and passionate Maintenance Assistant to join our growing team. Birchwood Health Care Center is home to seniors requiring TCU (Transitional Care Unit) Care and Long-Term Care and Birchwood Arbors is home to seniors requiring Assisted Living services. We are in Forest Lake, near North Shore Dr and Forest Lake. We have been helping seniors Age Magnificently since 1979 and are part of Senior Care Communities, a local non-profit supporting seniors.

Full-Time Day Shift Wage:
$17.50-$22.50/hour, based on experience Are you compassionate towards others? Are you passionate about enriching the lives of others? Our Maintenance Assistants become family and impact the lives of our residents who live in a Lifespark Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Communities. Perform all duties concerned with electrical, heating, cooling, plumbing, painting, floor care, and various equipment. Perform assigned housekeeping duties including trash removal, mopping, cleaning, etc. in accordance with facility policy. Address and correct work orders to maintain building and equipment operation. Assist in the purchasing of supplies and equipment for departmental operation, may require vehicle operation. Assist in the supervision of outside contractor services. Assist in the inspection of building, equipment, and grounds on a regular basis to ensure compliance with codes and regulations and to maintain proper operation. High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in health care is preferred.
