Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Boarding Kennel Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our furry guests. In this energetic role, you will ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of dogs and cats during their stay. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive environment where animals feel loved and cared for, while also supporting the daily operations of our kennel facility. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals and pet owners alike, making a real difference in their lives. Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care, including feeding, watering, administering medication, and cleaning kennels to maintain a hygienic environment Handle dogs and other animals with patience and confidence, ensuring proper restraint and safety protocols are followed at all times Support veterinary staff by observing animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns promptly Manage heavy lifting when necessary for kennel cleaning supplies or equipment, always prioritizing safety and proper technique Skills Proven experience in dog handling, animal care, or kennel operations Familiarity with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is highly advantageous Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively during grooming or medical procedures Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, walking, and performing cleaning tasks throughout the day This role is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to develop their skills in pet care while working in a lively environment. Pay:
$15.50 - $17.00 per hour
