Animal Care Technician- part time or full time available! Iron Will Dog Lodge | Montrose, ColoradoStarting pay: $18/hourPart-time or full-time positions available Iron Will Dog Lodge is looking for another dependable person to join our team. We are a busy, established dog and cat lodging facility in Montrose providing dog boarding, daycare, grooming services, and cat boarding. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, comfortable with physical work, and able to work as part of a team.

OPEN AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED

We are currently considering both part-time and full-time applicants, and the exact schedule will depend on where the right person fits best within our team. Applicants must have flexibility to work a combination of: Early mornings Daytime shifts Weekdays Weekends Holidays when scheduled If you have very limited availability or are only looking for a specific day or two each week, this position will probably not be a good fit. This is NOT just playing with animals. Our team is responsible for the daily care, safety, and cleanliness of the dogs and cats staying with us.

The job includes:

Feeding and watering dogs and cats Moving and handling dogs safely Caring for cats in our cat boarding area Cleaning and sanitizing dog kennels and cat condos Cleaning litter boxes and maintaining a clean cat room Cleaning indoor and outdoor areas Laundry Dishes Picking up animal waste Daycare supervision Following feeding, medication, and individual care instructions Providing enrichment and attention to boarding animals Working outdoors in changing Colorado weather Lifting, bending, walking, standing, and remaining active throughout the shift Helping teammates complete everything that needs to be done before leaving The person we are looking for: Shows up when scheduled Is consistently on time Communicates well Works hard without needing to be constantly supervised Notices what needs to be done and does it Handles feedback professionally Works well with a team Is comfortable around dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels Is comfortable caring for cats Understands that animal care is a responsibility — our animals still need excellent care regardless of weekends, holidays, weather, or how busy the day becomes Reliability matters. Because we care for live animals every day, dependable attendance is extremely important. Every employee affects the workload of the rest of the team.
