Boat Captain (6 Pack OUPV)

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boat Captain to lead our vessel operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of maritime navigation, and the ability to manage crew and passengers effectively. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all onboard while maintaining compliance with maritime regulations. Responsibilities Navigate and operate the vessel safely in various weather conditions and waterways. Manage the crew by assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Conduct regular maintenance checks on the boat's mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance. Oversee loading and unloading of passengers and cargo, ensuring safety during all operations. Communicate effectively with crew members, passengers, and shore-based personnel regarding trip details and safety information. Maintain accurate logs of navigation, weather conditions, and any incidents that occur during voyages. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal maritime laws and regulations. Experience Proven experience as a Boat Captain or in a similar role within the maritime industry. Strong mechanical knowledge related to boat operations and maintenance is highly desirable. Experience in managing a crew effectively while fostering teamwork and communication. Familiarity with rigging techniques and procedures is a plus. Military experience may be beneficial for understanding discipline and leadership in challenging environments.
