Boat Storage Lot Porter/Delivery Driver

Job Overview Pioneer Boat Storage in Truckee, CA is seeking a Boat Storage Lot Porter and Delivery Driver, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the organization and safety of our boat storage facility and ensuring smooth and efficient pick up and delivery services. This position combines hands-on responsibilities with some customer interaction and ongoing communication with our team. Focus will be on managing boat storage logistics, safely operating various equipment (forklifts etc). If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working outdoors, this role is perfect for you! Duties Safely operate forklifts on site for moving boats, staging boats for pickup and delivery. Drive route deliveries to deliver boats to clients, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Same protocol for returning customers' boats to storage facility. Assist with the movement and organization of boats in the storage yard, including heavy lifting and manual handling as needed. Conduct routine inspections of storage areas, ensuring boats are properly secured and stored according to company standards. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks to load or unload boats or related equipment safely. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements for accountability and reporting purposes. Provide exceptional customer service by answering client inquiries professionally and assisting with their needs during drop-offs or pickups. Previous experience in warehouse operations or boat storage environments is highly preferred. Commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license is required. Knowledge and experience with operating large marina forklift a plus. Proven delivery driver experience. Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and safe driving practices on busy routes. Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting, bending, and moving heavy objects regularly.
