Full Charge Bookkeeper Role Overview The Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the complete accounting cycle for the organization, with a strong focus on construction industry operations. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication skills and hands-on experience in construction accounting systems. The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational support across projects. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounting functions with strong organizational and communication skills. Mandatory experience in the construction industry . Working knowledge of Sage/Timberline accounting software . Ability to work independently while supporting project managers and operational teams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy and timeliness. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations Manage all core accounting functions, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting using Sage/Timberline. Ensure the accuracy and timely processing of all financial transactions. Financial Reporting & Close Oversee monthly close activities, including posting month-end entries. Prepare and ensure accurate financial statements and supporting schedules. Project & Operational Support Provide accounting and financial support to project managers and operations staff. Respond to financial inquiries and resolve accounting-related issues to meet business needs. Compliance & Construction Accounting Manage licensing and insurance compliance requirements. Process releases of liens, Notices to Owner (NTO), and AIA billings. Maintain compliance with construction-specific accounting and regulatory requirements. Reconciliations & Payroll Perform job cost reconciliations and bank reconciliations. Process payroll and ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Core Competencies Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and job costing. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines. Clear and professional communication across departments.
