Job Description
Position Summary The Senior Accountant will oversee critical accounting functions including payroll processing, accounts payable management, and financial reporting using QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in healthcare industry accounting and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Oversee accounts payable operations including vendor invoice processing, payment scheduling, and account reconciliations Maintain and manage the company's financial records in QuickBooks Online, including chart of accounts, bank reconciliations, and journal entries Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports Perform month-end and year-end close procedures in a timely manner Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations Assist with audits and respond to auditor inquiries as needed Benefit enrollment Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, preferred Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting Strong working knowledge of full-cycle payroll and accounts payable processes Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required) Solid understanding of general accounting principles Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and strong overall computer skills Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a medical practice, hospital, or healthcare organization Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-location accounting environments Experience with payroll tax filings and year-end
