Job Description

Role and Responsibilities The Bookkeeper qualifications require a friendly and confident personality, a smart appearance, well-spoken and good written communication skills. The ability to stay calm under pressure, the ability to be polite but firm when dealing with difficult, impatient or upset people, and good organizational skills. A responsible, reliable, hard worker who takes initiative to improve the outcome of the organization.
The daily tasks will involve:
Complete Xero and Hubdoc certification prior to 30 days review. Training will be provided. Must pass with an 80% or better. Greet clients in store or via phone service. Interview clients to gain a full picture of their financial situation. Reviews financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns. Researches tax related questions and issues, and responds to clients appropriately and within a timely manner. Resolves client complaints, or refers situations to supervisor (as appropriate) for resolution Audits all tax return forms for accuracy and completeness (i.e., client signatures). Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential. Accomplishes completion of quarterly reports by established deadlines. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. Meet and review financial business progress with all business clients Assist front desk receptionist office duties when needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements Associate's degree or equivalent. Course of study in a tax or accounting preparation school. Basic IT skills are required involving use of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point. Proficient in OltPro, File Center, IRS site. PTIN proof of completion/renewal for tax preparation. Accounting, Corporate Finance, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Reporting Research Results, SFAS Rules, Confidentiality, Time Management, Data Entry Management, General Math Skills.
IN OFFICE POSITION.
Required Skills Bilingual in English and Spanish. Proficient with a computer, 50+WPM, exceptional customer service, fast learner, able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Data entry. Preferred Skills Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a MUST. Types 50+ WPM. Proficient in OltPro, File Center, Xero, and Hubdoc software. Two year experience is preferred.
