About the
Position:
Assist in daily operations of the Nutrition (Food Service) department by completing a variety of office, accounting and nutrition program tasks including periodic cashier responsibilities. Processes and delivers all bank deposits, following established procedures. Monitoring Student and Staff account balances and issues warning notification emails and/or letters/calls when needed for items such as low balances, money owed. Assist the Director/Kitchen Managers by filling in for staff as needed. Manages the cash register/POS system inside kitchens as needed. Effectively uses the food service Point of Sale (POS) system, district email, student information system and district accounting system. Provides office support for the director. Duties include but are not limited to: answering phones, processing purchase orders, general office duties as assigned. Assists with processing free and reduced meal applications/completing the verification process for applications received. Assists the Nutrition Director with monthly state claims and direct certification. Maintains yearly financial audit book with updated and accurate financial reports. Collaborates with the District Accounting regarding all financial reports that are required for the nutrition program. Attends all in-service training, as scheduled by the Nutrition Director and/or the district. Uses strong customer service skills with all staff, students, and families. Follows all USDA and sanitation protocols. Maintains 6 hours of annual continuing education/training. All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Read and Write Effectively Possess Basic Mathematic Skills Prior food service experience or related is preferred Ability to work as a positive team member Ability to maintain a professional office and attention to detail Experience with computers and software systems Ability to pass a background check.

Reports to work on time Works well in a team environment Completes daily work within scheduled shift Willing to adjust to potential daily changes in schedule Follows nutrition services uniform and hygiene requirements Follows all district and departmental policies and procedures Maintains an appropriate level of confidentiality regarding the records and operations of the program, school and district.
What We Offer:

Selection Process:
