In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal on a variety of projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, from new builds to renovation and restoration projects. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about craftsmanship. Duties Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry materials with precision according to blueprints and schematics. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying mortar or other bonding agents to ensure strong adhesion. Install rebar reinforcement and form concrete structures for foundations, walls, or decorative features. Operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and power tools including drills and saws to execute masonry tasks efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Perform concrete finishing tasks like smoothing surfaces and applying textures for aesthetic or functional purposes. Engage in related construction activities such as plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing support, tile laying, and metal stud framing as needed. Use heavy equipment operation skills when required for large-scale projects or site preparation. Assist in renovation and restoration projects by repairing existing masonry structures with attention to detail. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and properly handling tools and materials. Skills Extensive experience with concrete forming techniques and concrete finishing processes. Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles for material quantities and project timelines. Proficiency in rebar installation for reinforced concrete structures. Skilled in hardscape design including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative features. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on construction sites. Solid understanding of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for accurate project execution. Experience with plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing support systems, tile laying, metal stud framing, welding, and restoration work. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation relevant to masonry projects. Knowledge of construction site safety standards and best practices in masonry work.
