The Sr. Director, Shared Services oversees the company's newly created and centralized finance shared services function, including credit and collections, accounts receivable/cash management, treasury operations, accounts payable, and, in an appropriate transition, transactional accounting. This position ensures efficient, accurate, and compliant execution of all transactional finance processes and works to standardize, automate, and continuously improve shared services delivery across the organization and in alignment with other CRH Americas shared services functions. The Sr. Director manages the treasury function, in collaboration with the VP of Accounting, including cash forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital management, and ensures the organization maintains appropriate financial controls across all shared services functions. What you'll be contributing: Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. Lead and develop the newly created Shared Services function; set performance standards and foster a culture of accuracy, service, efficiency and continuous improvement. Oversee the credit and collections function; ensure optimal working capital management and timely collection of accounts receivable and drive improvements where necessary. Manage the treasury function including cash forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital management. Oversee accounts receivable cash receipts and other cash inflows and cash outflows (payroll, 401k, insurance, debt payments etc). Direct the installation, maintenance, and improvement of accounting, timekeeping, payroll, and payables systems, procedures, and controls. Oversee processing of invoices, utility billing packages, and monthly reporting to utility partners; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the business. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Develop and implement goals, policies, and procedures relating to shared services financial management, accounts payable, payroll, and accounting operations. Provide regular reporting and analysis of shared services performance, costs, and metrics to the CFO and executive leadership. To succeed in this position, you will need: Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA preferred MBA a plus Minimum 10 years of related experience Minimum 7 years of experience in finance shared services, treasury, or accounting operations leadership Up to 10% domestic travel Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles; ability to construct and analyze financial statements. Experience in developing and transforming shared services functions Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead, manage, and develop a multi-function shared services team. Strong attention to detail; ability to identify and resolve problems with urgency. Experience in treasury operations, cash management, and banking relationships. Knowledge of credit and collections management and working capital optimization. Ability to develop, coordinate, and complete projects on time and within budget. Experience with accounting/ERP systems and financial controls platforms. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
