About Us Stallant Health is a dedicated rural healthcare clinic committed to providing accessible, high-quality care to our local community. Our dental department provides essential basic dental services to our established primary care patients, and we are currently in an exciting phase of growth—including a major facility expansion and a significant broadening of our dental services. We are seeking an experienced, proactive Dental Department Coordinator to help lead our team through this dynamic time. Position Overview The Dental Department Coordinator plays a critical dual role: delivering high-touch front-desk patient care while providing operational leadership, coaching, and compliance support across our administrative and clinical teams. Reporting directly to the Practice Administrator , you will work 27•33 hours on the clinic floor as a Dental Receptionist alongside scheduled administrative hours dedicated to training, team coaching, and operational improvements (totaling 40 hours per week ). Working in close partnership with clinic leadership and our Chart Audit & Compliance Team , you will ensure regulatory alignment, streamline clinic operations, and deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Work Schedule & Availability Shift Structure:
Three 12-hour operational shifts on the floor + scheduled administrative time ( 40 hours/week total ).

Closed Weekend Requirement:
Must be available to work two Sundays per month . Key Responsibilities 1.
Oversee day-to-day front-desk workflows and provide guidance and coaching to both administrative and clinical support staff.
Leadership Collaboration:
Partner directly with the Practice Administrator on policy implementation, staff training, and workflow optimization.
Regulatory & Quality Control:
Work closely with the Chart Audit & Compliance Team to ensure dental records, documentation, and billing protocols meet strict quality and HIPAA compliance standards.
Discrepancy Resolution:
Assist in identifying chart documentation issues and executing corrective action plans.
Escalations & Flow:
Serve as the primary point of contact for patient escalations, complex scheduling, and inter-departmental communication.
Expansion Readiness:
Help prepare the department, staff, and workflows for our upcoming facility expansion and service growth.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on dental administration experience required.
Leadership Aptitude:
Proven ability (or strong desire) to guide, train, mentor, and coach staff.
Compliance Knowledge:
Practical understanding of dental chart auditing, clinical documentation standards, and HIPAA regulations.
Software Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with Dental Practice Management Software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Skills:
High attention to detail, exceptional communication, strong problem-solving abilities, and an organized approach to multitasking in a busy environment.
