Job Description

Administration & Evaluation Coordinator Pay Range:
$60,050 - $64,525 (DOE) Position Summary The Administration & Evaluation (A&E) Coordinator (AEC) has primary responsibility for managing grants, program evaluation, communications, budget coordination, client and partner agreements, and other critical administrative duties. The A&E Coordinator may be responsible for substituting as a coordinator of community and resident engagement on an occasional and temporary basis as well. The A&E Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director and coordinates closely with the Program Manager, Accounting Manager, Team Managers, and Community & Resident Engagement Coordinators. All of the following duties are performed under the direction of the executive director. Essential Responsibilities and Duties
I. ADMINISTRATION
Program Evaluation :
Working closely with the Program Manager, manage program evaluation, including the development, continuous improvement, and implementation of performance indicators, systems for monitoring and reporting results, and evaluative analyses and reports. Ensure fulfillment of the CORES evaluation standards. Monitor programmatic results and report them to colleagues, leadership, the Board, clients, and partners. Coordinate with the staff and with external program evaluation consultants on the development and implementation of higher levels of program evaluation. Test and learn new programmatic approaches as well as evaluative methods. Assist in the refinement of program delivery, evaluation, and reporting methods.
Program Development:
In consultation with the Program Manager, participate in the development of innovative programmatic elements and the identification and collaboration with new partners on programmatic developments.
Program Partners:
Working closely with the Program Manager, assist in the identification, development, tracking, and coordination of new and existing partners' participation in programs, resources, and services.
Grant Management:
Coordinate the implementation of grant agreements and develop and manage grant budgets and schedules in partnership with the financial management team and team managers. Lead the development of grant reports in collaboration with managers and engagement coordinators. Participate in ongoing communications with funders on active grants.
Legal Agreements :
Prepare, review, and manage contracts, use agreements, and memoranda of understanding with clients and partner organizations, in coordination with engagement coordinators and managers.
Budget Management :
Participate in the development and monitoring of community program budgets, program schedules, and tracking files in consultation with the managers and engagement coordinators. Review and recommend invoices for programs, events, and resources. Provide summary for monthly invoices to accounting management team. Review timecards and aid proper recordation of time in order to aid proper job-cost accounting.
II. COMMUNICATIONS
  • Primary responsibility for coordinating the renovation and the provision of content for the website in consultation with the Program Manager and others.
  • Leading role in providing and vetting content for the website and blog.
  • Coordinate, sustain, and develop content for social media, press, and other public communications in coordination with leadership and partners.
  • Responsible for some research, program evaluation, and communications efforts in conjunction with the fundraising team.
III. COMMUNITY & RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT
  • In the event of engagement coordinators' absence, substitute for coordination of community and resident engagement programs and resources.
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
  • Experience of at least 1 full year in program coordination, development, and evaluation.
  • Experience of at least 1 year in the development of MOU's and/or contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in a social science or service, quantitative methods, liberal arts, or other related fields.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a combination of education, training, and work experience may be considered equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills: an ability to write and edit very well. Ability to present information and respond to questions fluently.
  • Excellent analytic skills and experience, including proficiency with spreadsheets, algebraic math formulas, and the development of graphic data presentations.
  • Excellent team and organizational skills; ability to identify, rank, and organize actions toward a goal.
  • Skilled in MS Office and common platforms and applications, including Google, Excel and databases.
  • A collegial, collaborative approach toward working with colleagues, the team, and partners.
  • Cultural competence - with an understanding of the roles and effects of race, culture, poverty, and education.
  • Full vaccination against Covid-19and other communicable diseases for which vaccines are widely available and affordable ( e.g. , polio, measles, whooping cough, and influenza).
  • Integrity and an upbeat, enthusiastic spirit, a ready sense of humor, savviness, and professional psychological stability.
  • A passion for justice, human development, equity, and inclusion.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferences:
  • 2 or more years of excellent performance in the field of program evaluation, with a facility for quantitative methods.
  • 2 or more years of exceptional performance in written communications and/or marketing texts across multiple platforms, from blogs to social media to grant proposals.
  • Experience working in a low-income community is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Washington, DC, suburban Maryland, and/or Northern Virginia governmental and community programs would be desirable.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The A&E Coordinator works on-site at least three days a week at Communities Together's headquarters in downtown Bethesda and occasionally as a substitute coordinator of activities at an affordable housing community in the Washington, DC metro region. The A&E Coordinator is expected to attend Communities Together weekly team meetings virtually and in-person monthly meetings at our offices in Silver Spring or Bethesda, Maryland and occasionally at other communities or gatherings we serve. Communities Together Inc abides by Federal, State, and local health restrictions to combat the Covid-19 pandemic and requires proof of vaccination for employees working with residents.
COMPENSATION
The pay range for this position is $60,050-64,525. The initial salary will be commensurate with applicable experience and expertise. Communities Together offers a competitive benefits package.
