Job Description:

The Boat Shop is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk & Administrative Coordinator to manage our front desk and support daily office operations. This position is often the first point of contact for customers and plays an important role in keeping communication and administrative tasks organized across our sales, service, rental, and marina departments. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, comfortable handling multiple priorities, and able to work effectively in a busy seasonal environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Greet customers and visitors and direct them to the appropriate department.
Answer incoming phone calls, take accurate messages, and route calls appropriately.
Respond to general customer questions by phone, email, text, and in person.
Manage front desk activity and maintain a professional, welcoming reception area.
Assist with scheduling, customer paperwork, data entry, filing, and document organization.
Enter and update customer information in company systems.
Receive payments and provide customers with receipts when needed.
Assist with service, storage, slip, rental, and sales paperwork.
Monitor shared email accounts and help ensure customer requests are directed to the correct employee.
Track outstanding documents, forms, signatures, and customer information.
Assist management and office staff with general administrative projects.
Maintain confidentiality when handling customer, employee, and company information.
Help keep daily office operations organized during the marinas busy season.
Perform other administrative and customer-service duties as assigned
Perform general cleaning store organization.

Qualifications

Previous receptionist, administrative, customer-service, or office experience is preferred.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Professional and friendly demeanor.
Dependable, punctual, and organized.
Comfortable using computers, email, phone systems, and office software.
Able to learn new programs and company procedures.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to prioritize tasks and remain calm in a busy environment.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

ScheduleThis is a full-time, year-round position. Weekend availability may be required, particularly during the marinas busy season. The specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
