Job Description

The West Lake Hills Police Department is looking for YOU to join our team! The West Lake Hills Police Department, a progressive law enforcement agency just west of Austin, has an opening for an Administrative Coordinator to join our team. You will be joining a department that is dedicated to professionalism, community involvement, and the highest level of customer service.
Starting Salary:
o $58-65K per year DOQ . o $3,000 yearly fuel allowance What Does a Successful Candidate Look Like? o You are energetic and able to multi-task easily. o You are a caring individual who wants to make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day. o You have good judgement and outstanding customer service skills. o You also have outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal. o You are courteous and tactful, make ethical decisions, are discreet, and get along well with others. o You can build and maintain positive and professional working relationships.
Essential Job Functions:
o Present a positive image of the Department using tact, diplomacy, and good judgment. o Be aware of sensitive information and maintain confidentiality of all such information. o Manage the front office and ensure all daily/weekly tasks get completed in a timely manner o Communicate courteously with the public. o Process Public Information Requests as they come in. o Contribute to team effort by performing other related duties as assigned. Required Education, Certificates, and/or
Licenses:
o Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university o Minimum age of 21. o Valid Texas Class C driver's license. o Proof of citizenship and/or eligibility to legally work in the United States.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Knowledge of Texas Public Information Act (TPIA) and how it is applicable in a law enforcement setting. o Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of applications o Familiarity with AXON Evidence.com and Arbitrator software. o Prepare accurate and grammatically correct written reports. o Provide excellent public relations and customer service. o Establish and maintain an effective working relationship will all levels of management, City officials, police personnel, other employees, and the public. o Prior experience working in a law enforcement setting is a plus.
