Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and submission of healthcare claims using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems Learn to review medical records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring proper documentation for billing purposes Support the coding process by understanding basic medical terminology, DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards Collaborate with team members to resolve claim denials or rejections related to insurance or documentation issues Maintain organized records of medical bills, insurance claims, and correspondence using Microsoft Office tools and specialized billing software Communicate professionally with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to clarify billing questions or discrepancies Stay updated on healthcare claims management policies, health insurance regulations, and medical coding guidelines to improve accuracy and efficiency Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; prior medical office experience is a plus but not required Strong interest in healthcare billing, coding, or administrative roles within the medical field Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude Ability to learn new software systems including EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR platforms quickly Good organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Willingness to participate in training programs covering medical terminology, health insurance processes, and billing procedures Join us to kickstart your career in healthcare billing!
