• This job will require consistent phone calls and interactions with insurance company's.
• Must be organized, punctual and reliable.
• Be able to work in a fast pace environment.
• Must be detailed oriented and be able to work independently.
• Must be self motivated and be a self starter. Job Duties but not limited to:
• Call on claims and checking the status with insurance companies
• Insurance, Medicare & Med-cal eligibility verification
• Input patient demographics information
• Customer service, be able to review patient bill information
• Post payments from patients and insurance
• Be able to review e-mail inquiries from clients and patients
• Input check payments from patients and insurances; prepare check deposits
• Transmit 837 files and download 835 files; work on rejections
• Work-up claim denials for accounts receivables
• Prepare patient bills, print paper claims and attach medical records
• Patient collections on past due invoices
• Be able to pull up lab orders and print test results for claims
• Other duties and projects as assigned
• Be able to work under pressure in a face-pace environment
• High work load must be experienced in medical billing
• Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM full time only
• Minimum 2 years experience in billing required.
