Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Service Billing Specialist to support the accurate and timely billing of service work performed across multiple locations throughout New England. In this fast-paced role, you will play a critical part in ensuring service orders are properly costed, billed, and compliant with applicable tax and prevailing wage requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Process and manage high-volume weekly service order billing across multiple service groups. Ensure accurate service order costing using standard cost accounting methodologies. Review and interpret service agreements to validate billing accuracy and compliance. Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies through research and collaboration with internal teams. Apply state-specific tax regulations and prevailing wage requirements to service work performed throughout New England. Maintain detailed records and ensure timely invoice generation. Partner with service, operations, and accounting teams to support efficient billing processes. Contribute to continuous process improvements that enhance accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-3 years of billing, bookkeeping, accounting support, and customer service experience. Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles. Experience working with ERP or accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar platforms. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. Skills and Attributes for Success Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and follow-through capabilities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
