Responsibilities Assist with data entry and processing of billing information using various accounting software and billing systems Support accounts receivable management by tracking payments, following up on overdue accounts, and reconciling discrepancies Prepare and review journal entries, account analysis reports, and spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Collaborate with team members to perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate records of financial transactions Handle customer inquiries related to billing statements, payment status, and account details with professional phone etiquette and client communication skills Support collections account management by monitoring outstanding balances and assisting in collection efforts Maintain organized documentation of all billing activities, ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal policies Requirements Strong interest in accounting or finance with a willingness to learn technical concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (formulas, data analysis, spreadsheets) Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for data entry and account reconciliation tasks Good math skills and the ability to analyze Excel data effectively for account analysis purposes Effective communication skills including professional phone etiquette for client interaction Ability to follow procedures related to GAAP standards and SOX compliance in all financial activities Embark on your accounting career today by joining a supportive team that values your growth! Pay:
$24.00 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: 42.0 per week
