End-to-End Medical Billing Representative (Easton, MD) Are you an experienced Medical Billing professional with a comprehensive understanding of the billing cycle from start to finish? We're looking for a dedicated End-to-End Medical Billing Representative to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about ensuring accurate, efficient billing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Cycle Billing :
Manage the complete billing cycle from patient registration through final payment collection, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of claims.
Claim Submission :
Prepare, review, and submit claims to insurance providers and government programs (Medicare, Medicaid).
Insurance Verification & Authorization :
Ensure insurance coverage is active and verified prior to services being rendered. Obtain necessary pre-authorizations.
Denial Management :
Identify, analyze, and resolve denied or rejected claims, including researching denials, resubmitting claims, and coordinating with insurance companies.
Payment Posting & Adjustments :
Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with contractual terms.
Patient Billing & Communication :
Send patient statements, follow up on patient balances, and provide exceptional customer service to address any billing-related inquiries.
Compliance & Documentation :
Maintain thorough documentation for all billing activities and adhere to HIPAA regulations and industry standards.
Reporting :
Prepare and submit regular reports related to revenue cycle performance, aging accounts, and outstanding claims.
Requirements:
Proven experience in medical billing, with a solid understanding of the entire billing cycle. Strong knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and insurance policies. Experience working with major insurance carriers, Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers. Ability to handle complex billing issues and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Familiarity with billing software (experience with [specific software, if any] preferred). Strong communication skills and ability to work with both patients and insurance companies.
