Job Description

Full-time position available immediately. Very pleasant working environment. Ability to multitask and good costumer service are a MUST. Experience in medical billing is required. Duties will include other office tasks including but not limited to answering phones, filing records, preauthorizations and surgical scheduling. Duties Prepare and submit healthcare claims using billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Review medical records to ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes Apply appropriate coding standards, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes, to facilitate correct reimbursement Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collection efforts and resolve discrepancies promptly Maintain detailed records of billing activities, insurance claims, and patient accounts Collaborate with healthcare providers to verify patient information and ensure compliance with healthcare claims management protocols Provide excellent customer service by addressing billing inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and internal teams Requirements Proven experience in medical office administration or medical billing roles Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding (including ICD and CPT coding), and health insurance processes Familiarity with billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office applications Understanding of healthcare claims management and medical records documentation standards Ability to interpret complex insurance policies and explain billing procedures clearly to patients Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, patients, and insurance representatives
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
