Scheurer Business Office-Harbor Beach Billing Specialist Full-Time Position/40 hours per week Shift Hours

M-F, 8AM - 4

30PM Full Benefits Scheurer Health, a Critical Access rural hospital, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team in Pigeon, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience as a medical billing clerk and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility Follow up on unpaid claims and denials Resolve billing discrepancies and errors Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality

Requirements:
