Finance Intern
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Finance Intern to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist the finance department with daily transactional activities and production finance. This role focuses heavily on processing vendor payments, managing customer billing, tracking raw materials, and understanding how manufacturing plant floor metrics convert into financial data. Schedule This role is designed to be part-time , working about 20 hours per week . There is flexibility around the scheduling of those hours to accommodate attending university classes. Location This role is located at our Claremore, Oklahoma site. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable Match vendor invoices, purchase orders (POs), and receiving reports to verify quantities, pricing, and terms before payment. Enter inventory and operational invoices into enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems accurately. Resolve pricing or quantity variances by working directly with procurement and external suppliers. Adjust for scrap, returns, or rebates. Accounts Receivable Assist in preparing and issuing customer invoices based on manufacturing production milestones or shipment schedules. Match incoming customer ACH, wire, and check payments to outstanding invoices in the ERP system. Review aging reports and follow up with clients regarding past-due accounts. General Ledger / Financial Review Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Support the finance team with ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed. Assist with other routine finance related questions. Qualifications Recent graduate or active enrollment in an Accounting or Finance degree program. Basic understanding of financial principles and software programs. Working knowledge of Windows computers and business applications. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong organization and time management skills. High attention to detail Team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge. Advanced Excel skills. Comfortable with VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Pivot Tables, etc.
