These duties include data entry, all phases of first and third party billing; patient inquiries; requests for information from patients; payers or others; assistance to patients regarding insurance payments or other matters; and account receivable posting. The incumbent should be a high school graduate or equivalent, motivated regarding billing and collection of patient accounts, and capable of working independently. Prior experience in medical terminology and/or billing with a medical insurance background is preferred. Other qualifications include good communication and organizational skills, ability to manage several responsibilities simultaneously and able to work well with others as part of a team.
