$16.00-$19.00 per hour + commission Position Summary Eastern Revenue, Inc. (ERI) is seeking an experienced, motivated Remote Collections Representative to join our team. This is a full-time position , with typical working hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday . The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of collection experience , strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment. This position is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of consumer accounts, communicating with consumers to resolve past-due balances, establishing appropriate payment arrangements, and consistently working toward individual monthly collection goals. Our representatives are expected to approach every consumer interaction professionally and empathetically while maintaining strict compliance with applicable laws, regulations, client requirements, and company policies. Compensation Starting hourly rate of $16.00-$19.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications Commission opportunity on funds collected toward established monthly goals Individual monthly collection goals established based on position and assigned portfolio Company equipment/device provided for remote work Key Responsibilities Contact consumers within an assigned portfolio to assist in resolving past-due balances Conduct outbound and inbound collection calls in a professional and respectful manner Meet established minimum daily call requirements Work toward agreed-upon monthly collection goals and commission opportunities Negotiate appropriate payment arrangements within company and client guidelines Maintain ownership of an individually assigned portfolio of accounts, including timely and consistent follow-up Accurately document consumer communications, payment arrangements, disputes, account updates, and other activity Maintain organized follow-up schedules and appropriately prioritize assigned accounts Research account information and utilize available resources to assist with account resolution Process and document payments in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements Identify and appropriately escalate disputes, complaints, compliance concerns, or other account issues Participate in training, coaching, call reviews, and performance evaluations Protect confidential consumer and client information at all times Meet established productivity, quality, compliance, and performance expectations Perform additional collection-related responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Collections Required Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of collection experience High school diploma or GED Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate professionally with consumers regarding sensitive financial matters Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams Strong organizational and account-management skills Ability to work independently while remaining engaged as part of a team Self-motivated, dependable, and goal-oriented Ability to manage an assigned portfolio and maintain consistent account follow-up Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment with established call and collection goals Ability to successfully complete required ACA collector testing/certification Ability to understand and adhere to applicable collection laws and regulations, including the FDCPA, Regulation F, TCPA , and other federal and state requirements Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with ERI's information security and remote-work requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience collecting higher education receivables and/or medical receivables Familiarity with third-party collection agency operations Experience working within a collection management system and managing an assigned account portfolio Remote Work Expectations This is a full-time remote position , with typical working hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday . ERI will provide the company equipment necessary to perform the position's primary job functions. Employees must maintain a professional, secure, and distraction-controlled work environment appropriate for handling confidential consumer and client information. Remote employees are expected to remain available and responsive during scheduled working hours and participate in meetings, training, coaching, and team communications through Microsoft Teams and other company-approved systems.
