Seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist to take ownership of the financial pipeline and ensure the practice runs efficiently. This position has the potential to grow into a higher position. Position Overview This role will be the driving force behind the financial health of the practice. A unique opportunity that blends hands-on day-to-day revenue cycle functions—specifically detailed payment posting—with high-level oversight. You will track claims from submission to resolution, analyze revenue workflows, and identify opportunities to optimize our billing cycle. This position is perfect for a senior medical biller or billing supervisor looking to make a direct impact in an agile, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities Revenue Cycle Oversight & Strategy:
Monitor and manage the complete end-to-end revenue cycle, ensuring clean claim submission and timely reimbursement. Track aging accounts receivable (A/R) and proactively resolve outstanding, denied, or rejected claims. Generate, review, and analyze weekly/monthly financial metrics to present key insights to practice leadership. Identify billing bottlenecks and update policies to maximize revenue and ensure compliance
Hands-On Payment Posting & Billing:
Accurately post insurance payments (ERAs/EOBs) and patient payments into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Practice Management system. Reconcile daily payment logs against bank deposits to guarantee absolute accuracy. Manage patient billing inquiries with empathy, establishing fair payment plans when necessary.
Qualifications Experience:
3-5+ years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle processes. Experience in a small practice setting is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with medical billing software, EHR systems and Excel.
Expertise:
Deep understanding of
CPT/ICD-10
coding, commercial/government insurance guidelines, and the denial appeal process.
