Job Summary Responsible for oversight and performance of the USPF Collections Department, including management of collection strategies, portfolio performance, deficiency balances, recoveries, and vendor relationships. This position has full management responsibility for the Collections function and associated team. In addition, the role may provide management, oversight, or functional leadership for selected servicing, portfolio administration, customer support, loan activation, accounts receivable, post-funding review, risk mitigation, quality control, or other operational functions as assigned. The position is responsible for establishing performance standards, monitoring key metrics, ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating risk, and delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. Performs other projects and duties as assigned. Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership for the collections department. Directly manage the Collections Manager and maintain accountability for departmental performance. Develop and execute collection strategies designed to maximize recoveries, reduce delinquency, and minimize losses. Monitor portfolio performance, deficiency balances, return premiums, unearned commissions, and recovery efforts. Establish and monitor production, quality, compliance, and customer service standards for collections activities. Manage relationships with outside collection agencies, attorneys, insurance carriers, general agents, brokers, and insureds. Review escalated accounts and authorize resolutions within established authority limits. Analyze portfolio trends and implement corrective action plans when necessary. Develop, coach, and mentor staff while supporting hiring, performance management, succession planning, and employee development. Provide oversight for assigned portfolio servicing and operational teams. Maintain policies, procedures, controls, and workflow standards that support efficient operations. Monitor service levels, productivity, quality, and operational metrics across assigned functions. Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned operational activities, including servicing, account maintenance, documentation review, payment processing, loan activation, exception management, and portfolio monitoring activities, as applicable. Partner with departmental leaders to ensure operational consistency and achievement of business objectives. Support premium finance risk management practices through oversight of assigned operational and portfolio review activities. Monitor operational trends, exceptions, and control reports to identify potential risks or process deficiencies. Ensure compliance with company policies, banking regulations, and premium finance requirements. Participate in audits, reviews, and regulatory examinations as required. Work with managers and Director of Operations to establish goals and key performance indicators. Communicate expectations and hold team members accountable for results. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and service excellence. Build strong partnerships across Sales, Credit, Finance, Compliance, and other business functions. May prepare and present operational and portfolio performance reporting to senior leadership Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Able to implement overall strategy, contributing to the culture and financial success of the company with specific expertise in strategic growth planning and execution, sales strategy and client relationship strategy. Able to effectively and persuasively express self, using language and grammar in a professional manner. Able to plan, schedule and organize a professional schedule to achieve strategic goals within or ahead of established time frames. Ability to negotiate, drive consensus, manage and resolve conflict. Advanced ability to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, present findings and make thoughtful recommendations considering overall risk and short-term and long-term impact. Highly motivated to exceed established targets. Ability to analyze markets, identify prospects, develop and execute sales techniques and strategies. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong knowledge of commercial collections and portfolio management. Understanding of premium finance operations, servicing processes, and associated risks. Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Proven success leading multiple teams or business functions. Experience establishing metrics, monitoring performance, and driving accountability. Ability to develop and improve operational processes and controls. Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced organizational and prioritization skills. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and cross-functional partners. Industry and Work Experience 7+ years of experience in commercial collections, premium finance, lending operations, servicing operations, or related financial services functions. 5+ years of premium finance experience. 5+ years of management experience with responsibility for multiple teams or functions. Experience implementing departmental metrics, procedures, and controls, with a proven track record of monitoring team performance, managing accountability, and driving the achievement of production, quality, and service-level goals. Academic Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Benefits Available to
