Job Description

Data Entry Clerk
  • Billing I
  • WMonday to Friday, 7:00AM
  • 3:30PM Eastern The Data Entry Clerk
  • Billing I role centers entirely on the high-velocity, high-quality entry of billing data and the completion of patient accessions within a structured database environment.
Pay range:
$17.20
  • $21 / hour Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained.
Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Data Entry & Processing:
Execute high-speed data entry to complete patient accessions, input demographics, and maintain exact transaction logs.
System Competency:
Navigate primary medical billing databases and internal tracking software efficiently.
Compliance & Monitoring:
Maintain strict compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times. Report data entry errors, processing mistakes, and Protected Health Information (PHI) breaches directly to management.
Required Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma / GED (or higher).
Experience:
2+ years of recent work experience in high-volume data entry (preferably in the medical field). Technical Skills Typing speed of at least 50+ WPM and the ability to use 10-Key.
Performance:
Maintains a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards. Consistently meets daily goals for speed, efficiency, and accuracy.
Adaptability:
Ability to adapt to changes, undergo cross-functional training, and complete other duties and tasks as required.
Collaboration:
Ability to work completely independently with strong work habits, while maintaining a collaborative presence within a larger team.
Remote Work & Workspace Requirements Collaboration Tools:
Ability to use remote meeting and learning applications, including instant messaging and video conferencing.
Internet Connection:
Must live in a location that can receive a high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
Dedicated Workspace:
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is free from distractions and provides strick information privacy.
