Data Entry Clerk Independence Valve & Supply Deer Park, TX Job Details Full-time From $8 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Computer operation Customer service Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Time management Office experience Full Job Description Data Entry Clerk - Material Test ReportsJob Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to assist with the collection, sorting, filing, and uploading of Material Test Reports (MTRs). Reports will be received from multiple sources and must be accurately organized and entered into our document management system. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working with large volumes of documents, and able to maintain accuracy while handling repetitive administrative tasks. From time to time, the Data Entry Clerk may also be asked to assist with other administrative and data-related tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities Receive and collect Material Test Reports from multiple sources. Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and proper identification. Sort and organize reports according to established procedures. File and maintain electronic records in an organized manner. Upload MTRs and related documentation into the appropriate systems or databases. Enter and maintain data accurately, including document numbers, material information, dates, and other required details. Verify information and identify missing, duplicate, or inconsistent documentation. Follow established naming, filing, and document-control procedures. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of company records. Communicate with team members and other sources when information is missing or clarification is required. Assist with other administrative, data entry, filing, document management, or office tasks as assigned. Qualifications Previous data entry, document control, filing, or administrative experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to learn and use document management systems and databases. Ability to handle a high volume of documents while maintaining accuracy. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and follow established procedures. Reliable, dependable, and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed. Preferred Experience working with Material Test Reports, quality documentation, construction, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial records is a plus. Familiarity with document control or quality management systems is a plus. Work Environment This is an administrative/document management position that requires consistent attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. The position may involve repetitive data entry and document-handling tasks, as well as other duties that support the overall administrative needs of the team.
