Position Overview:
We are seeking an Account Resolution Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in resolving outstanding medical balances through negotiation with insurance carriers, attorneys, and third parties as well as obtaining case statuses from the law firm on an ongoing basis. This position requires a detail-oriented, professional communicator who can advocate effectively for balance reductions while maintaining meticulous records.
Responsibilities:
Negotiate reductions on medical liens and balances with attorneys, insurance companies, and other payors. Obtain status updates from law firms regarding a patient's case to ensure timely resolution of a file. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all negotiations and correspondence in the patient's file. Prepare and submit weekly reports summarizing the status and outcome of lien reduction efforts and case status efforts. Collaborate closely with internal departments and law firms to ensure timely resolutions. Track follow-up items and ensure all parties are aligned on negotiated outcomes. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational policies throughout the negotiation process. Monitor aging balances and prioritize reduction efforts accordingly. Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism in all interactions. Monitor reduced balances until payment has been confirmed.
Requirements:
1+ year of experience in personal injury, lien resolution, or medical billing (preferred). Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written. High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft 365, Excel) and ability to learn case management systems quickly. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and handling of sensitive patient information. Bilingual strongly preferred
Pay:
$50,000.00 per year
