ASSISTANT ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST
Fuquay-Varina, NC Technical/Professional Full Time , Day/Evening with weekends/OT as needed Req # 39367 The Admissions Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring timely and clinically appropriate placement of children and adolescents into KidsPeace residential treatment programs. As a member of the admissions review committee, this position evaluates referrals, determines program suitability, coordinates admissions, and serves as a liaison between referral sources, families, and treatment teams to facilitate a smooth admission process. Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred. Experience working with emotionally challenged children and/or adolescents preferred. Valid driver's license required. First Aid and CPR certification required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems. Ability to read, interpret, and assess clinical documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must complete 12 hours of Person-Centered Thinking training prior to or within 90 days of hire. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and complete all intake and admissions activities for assigned programs. Review referral packets and clinical documentation to assess appropriateness for treatment. Collaborate with the admissions review committee to determine service eligibility and appropriate program placement. Facilitate timely admissions and transitions into treatment programs. Meet with clients, families, and referral sources to answer questions, gather required information, and ensure a positive admissions experience. Support clients and families throughout the intake process and admission transition. Prepare clear, accurate, clinically sound, and grammatically correct written communications. Complete all documentation within required regulatory, accreditation, and organizational timelines. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to admissions activities and funding requirements. Serve as a liaison to assigned treatment centers to monitor census activity and coordinate admissions. Maintain productive relationships with internal teams, referral sources, and community partners. Promote exceptional customer service through regular communication and professional follow-up. Utilize KidsPeace information systems to enter, maintain, and manage admissions datTrack and document referral inquiries, admissions activity, and related reports. Ensure compliance with Medical Assistance funding requirements and recordkeeping standards. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of KidsPeace programs and services.
