Job Description

Executive Assistant Lead Artisan Macon, GA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 7 days ago Qualifications Chauffeur driving Personal assistant experience Full Job Description We're Hiring an Assistant / Sidekick — Not a Caregiver We're looking for an awesome human. Someone with energy. Personality. Faith. Humor. Patience. Someone who can walk into his life and make the day better simply because they showed up. Our son is 21 and paraplegic. He's sharp, funny, fully aware of what's going on around him, and deserves someone who treats him like a 21-year-old guy — not a patient or a checklist. Think less "caregiver" and more assistant / right-hand person, adventure buddy, encourager, driver, personal support, and occasional professional pain-in-the-butt when he needs someone to get him moving. Your job is to help him live life well. What You'll Actually Do You'll be his go-to person during the day. On Mondays and Wednesdays, you'll drive him from Macon to Atlanta for a physical therapy session, hang with him while he's there, and bring him home. But the bigger part of the job is being present. Talk to him. Joke with him. Get him out of the house. Convince him to go somewhere when he'd rather sit around. Enable him to adventure again. Read the Bible with him. Pray with him. Encourage him when he's frustrated. Remind him who he is when he's having a bad day. And yes — sometimes make fun of him when he's being ridiculous. The Person We're Looking For You're naturally fun to be around. You're emotionally steady and don't get rattled easily. You can handle uncomfortable situations without making them uncomfortable. You know how to encourage someone without babying them. You can tell when someone needs compassion — and when they need somebody to say, "Dude. Get up. We're going somewhere." You're dependable. If you say you're coming, you come. You can handle long drives and long days without becoming miserable company. Most importantly, you genuinely care about people. Faith Matters Here We're a Christian family, and faith isn't something we tack onto the end of the job description. We want someone who genuinely loves Jesus. Someone who is comfortable praying, reading Scripture, talking about God, and bringing faith into everyday life naturally — not weirdly or forcefully. Someone who understands that joy matters and that the person you bring into a home can change the atmosphere of that home. The Goal You can make him laugh. You can get him out of the house, talk him into an adventure, and remind him that life is still meant to be lived. Keep his spirits high. Encourage him. Give him a hard time when he's being ridiculous. Call him out when he's being a bump on a log and needs to get moving. Know when he needs compassion — and know when he needs a push. Some days are going to be harder than others. We want the kind of person who can walk into one of those days and help turn it into a win. More than anything, be his sidekick. Be someone he trusts. Someone he actually looks forward to seeing. Someone who helps him laugh, grow, get stronger, deepen his faith, and keep living a full life. If you're reading this thinking, "This sounds way more fun than a normal personal assistant job," you might be exactly who we're looking for.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Application Question(s): If he's having a rough day, doesn't want to leave the house, and is shutting everyone out, how would you handle it? Are you the kind of person who can joke around, give someone a hard time, and call them out when needed while still knowing when to back off and show compassion? Why does this role interest you beyond simply needing a job? This role requires help reaching stuff, long drives, humor, patience, prayer, and sometimes pushing someone who doesn't feel like doing anything. Which part comes most naturally to you, and which part would stretch you?
