Job Description:
NEW!! Executive Assistant, Nonprofit Executive Office, Inwood (Manhattan borough), hybrid (4 days weekly in office generally, sometimes 5) About the
Company/Role:
Hiring organization is anything but a typical nonprofit
this is a rapidly scaling organization that has been expanding at a pace more typical of a fast-growing startup than a traditional mission-driven employer.
As it continues to grow, the CEO needs a true right hand: someone who thrives on intensity, moves fast, and takes ownership of a calendar that never stops. This is a rare opportunity for someone early in their career who has already proven they can operate at a senior level. If you have experience in high-intensity, high-stakes environments
supporting an executive, running point on complex logistics, or juggling competing priorities under pressure
and you're ready for a role that tests and sharpens your skills every day, this could be the position that takes you to the next level. What you'll do: Own the CEO's calendar in real time
resolving conflicts, protecting focus time, and weaving in urgent external meetings without missing a beat Prepare the CEO for every meeting: materials, background, agendas, and logistics, so nothing is left to chance Keep the CEO on schedule throughout the day, coordinating internal teams and greeting external stakeholders with polish Plan a full year of recurring commitments in advance
down to the smallest detail Serve as a trusted voice on the CEO's behalf, drafting communications and representing the CEO's intent with precision Handle the CEO's administrative and financial needs, from expenses and invoices to travel and records
while working in conjunction with, and reporting into, CEO's Chief of Staff Support event planning and external stakeholder engagement, including politically sensitive, high-visibility situations that call for excellent judgment You are: Energized by speed and intensity, not overwhelmed by it
you want to be in the office, in the room, and in the mix A fast learner who takes structure and feedback seriously
you welcome direct, candid, even blunt feedback and use it to improve rather than take it personally Low-ego and endlessly resourceful
equally comfortable managing a high-stakes meeting or handling a last-minute errand A sharp communicator with excellent judgment and impeccable writing Someone who has already proven, in 5-10 years of intensive professional experience, that you can operate at a senior level and are ready to be trusted with more Well educated with a minimum of a Bachelors degree and a strong academic record ideal This is a mission-driven organization•not political, not religious•but built with the discipline, pace, and standards of a high-growth company.
If you want a role that will stretch you, teach you, and reward you for showing up ready to work hard, this may be your match!
