Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of clerical, recordkeeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Greets and directs clients and visitors.
Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms.
Prepares letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions.
Makes appointments and referrals.
Answers phone calls, directs calls to appropriate individuals, and prepares messages and emails.
Receives, records, and distributes mail.
Copies, collates, and otherwise prepares reports for mailings, meetings, and other correspondence.
Takes detailed meeting minutes.
Provides back up to customer service on status of work orders, RFQ's, and follow-up with customers for order approvals.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to proofread.
Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems.
Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

High school graduate/GED.
1 year of clerical work experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

A pre-employment drug screen and background check is required after receipt of a conditional employment offer. This includes THC/marijuana.
