POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a part-time detail-oriented and organized Legal File Clerk to join our legal team in Wyandotte, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and organizing legal documents and records, ensuring that they are easily accessible to attorneys and other staff members. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to manage confidential information with discretion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

(MUST-HAVES): High school diploma or GED required Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong knowledge of electronic filing systems and document management software Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) May require occasional lifting, bending, and transporting file boxes (Up to 20-30 pounds) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

PLEASE NOTE

This is a hands-on role that requires physical activity. Applicants should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs., navigating stairs, and working independently throughout the day.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

(PLUSSES): 1-2 years of experience in a legal or office clerical setting preferred Familiarity with legal terminology and legal document types is a plus

Organize and maintain legal files, both physical and electronic, ensuring they are up-to-date and properly categorized Upload, categorize, and store documents in electronic document management systems Application Question(s): How many years of experience do you have working in an office, legal or administrative role?
