Philipp Litho has established a niche as a high-quality, sheet-fed offset printer of point-of-purchase (POP) displays and labels for the packaging and corrugated industries. We specialize in large-format display solutions, including life-sized stand-up figures, header cards, counter cards, pole stackers, banners, display bins and posters. Philipp is looking for a full-time 3rd Shift Second Press Operator. The second pressman assists the first pressman in prepping the press for printing. The second pressman will perform general print tasks such as tracking ink and coating levels and monitoring press register and print quality. The second pressman must be detail oriented, help with general maintenance, assist in clean up, and complete the paperwork required on each job. A second pressman will also fill in and back up the first pressman as needed.

Candidate Qualifications & Job Specifications:

Candidates must be highly motivated, professional team players with excellent communication skills. Candidates must have a strong work ethic. Large Format Press Operator experience preferred. Working knowledge of color management required.

Responsibilities:

Assist the First Pressman in completing the job checklist and pre-printing checks; Assist the First Pressman in makeready procedures like hanging press plates and checking the rollers; Assist the First Pressman while running to inspect loads and monitor quality; Assist the First Pressman in unloading press plates and press washup; and Assist the Frist Pressman with preventative maintenance, as required.

Education and Experience:

Print industry experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Standing for long periods of time Reaching with hands and arms Balance, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required Regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds Occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds with assistance Good hand-eye coordination and color vision
