Role:

The Forensic Interviewer is a key player in our multidisciplinary team. You'll conduct child-friendly, legally-sound interviews with children who have experienced trauma. Your work helps ensure that children are heard.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience or training in child development, psychology, or social work (preferred).
• Background in coordinating services for child victims and families (preferred).
• Ability to pass extensive criminal/civil background checks, drug screening, and sex offender registry.
• We'll train the right person if you are not an experienced forensic interviewer.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct sensitive, recorded interviews with children (ages 3-17) and vulnerable adults.
• Create a safe, supportive space for victims to share their stories.
• Collaborate closely with law enforcement, CPS, and our MDT partners.
• Enter case information into our secure database system.
• Testify in court when needed—your voice matters.
• Attend case reviews, contribute insight, and advocate for kids.
• Stay current on best practices through training and peer reviews.
• Be part of our on-call rotation (after-hours, weekends, holidays).
• Cross-train in family advocacy if needed—because teamwork matters.
• Assist with outreach presentations and community education.
• Pitch in at fundraisers and awareness events.
• Represent CACCT with professionalism and passion wherever you go.

Your Superpowers Include:

• Deep understanding of child abuse and trauma.
• Cross-cultural awareness and experience with diverse communities.
• Comfort working with children and families in crisis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-stress situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a huge plus!

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
