Role:

The Forensic Interviewer is a key player in our multidisciplinary team. You'll conduct child-friendly, legally-sound interviews with children who have experienced trauma. Your work helps ensure that children are heard.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience or training in child development, psychology, or social work (preferred).
Background in coordinating services for child victims and families (preferred).
Ability to pass extensive criminal/civil background checks, drug screening, and sex offender registry.
We'll train the right person if you are not an experienced forensic interviewer.

What You'll Do:

Conduct sensitive, recorded interviews with children (ages 3-17) and vulnerable adults.
Create a safe, supportive space for victims to share their stories.
Collaborate closely with law enforcement, CPS, and our MDT partners.
Enter case information into our secure database system.
Testify in court when needed—your voice matters.
Attend case reviews, contribute insight, and advocate for kids.
Stay current on best practices through training and peer reviews.
Be part of our on-call rotation (after-hours, weekends, holidays).
Cross-train in family advocacy if needed—because teamwork matters.
Assist with outreach presentations and community education.
Pitch in at fundraisers and awareness events.
Represent CACCT with professionalism and passion wherever you go.

Your Superpowers Include:

Deep understanding of child abuse and trauma.
Cross-cultural awareness and experience with diverse communities.
Comfort working with children and families in crisis.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to stay calm and focused in high-stress situations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a huge plus!
