$60,000 - $80,000 per hour Job Details - We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our high-performing team. As a Legal Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our legal team by managing administrative tasks, preparing legal documents, and providing expert litigation support. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about the legal industry and is looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Providing comprehensive litigation support, including preparing and filing court documents, managing case files, and assisting with trial preparation. Managing the legal team's calendar, scheduling meetings, court dates, and deadlines, ensuring that all appointments are executed smoothly and efficiently. Drafting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence, ensuring all materials are accurate and professionally presented. Conducting legal research, summarizing laws, court decisions, and other legal authorities for use in legal proceedings. Liaising with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals in a professional and courteous manner. Maintaining an organized filing system of all important case documents and related information. Assisting in the preparation of billing and budget reports, tracking billable hours, and ensuring timely submission of invoices. Qualifications A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary, paralegal, or in a similar role within the legal industry. Profound knowledge of litigation support, legal procedures, protocols, and court systems. Exceptional calendaring skills, with the ability to manage multiple schedules and deadlines. Strong proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders. High level of professionalism and confidentiality, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and legal research software.
