Description Law firm seeking a detail-oriented and professional legal secretary/assistant with at least 2 years experience in civil litigation. This position will provide administrative and litigation support to one attorney while helping maintain day to day office operations. Pay commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials E-file documents in state and federal courts Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings Communicate in professional manner with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and staff members. Organize and maintain electronic case files Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibits, and case management Track deadlines and ensure timely filings and responses Draft routine correspondence and legal documents Qualifications Previous experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant, or administrative assistant preferred Experience in civil litigation or insurance defense preferred Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and e-filing systems Strong typing, proofreading, and document formatting skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment High level of professionalism and confidentiality Experience scheduling depositions and coordinating litigation deadlines Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced legal environment
