The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing and coding, with particular experience in mental health and behavioral health coding.

Mental & Behavioral Health Employment Type:

Full-Time Pay:

$18 and up per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Work Location:

Commercial Blvd. / U.S. 441 area, South Florida

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately code mental health and behavioral health services
• Review clinical documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Submit and follow up on insurance claims
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
• Review claims for accuracy and resolve billing errors
• Track unpaid, denied, and rejected claims
• Process payments and maintain accurate billing records
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims and reimbursements
• Maintain compliance with applicable billing, coding, and healthcare regulations
• Work closely with providers and office staff to resolve documentation or coding issues

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous medical coding and billing experience required
• Mental health/behavioral health coding experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
• Familiarity with insurance claims, denials, and accounts receivable
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing software preferred
