The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing and coding, with particular experience in mental health and behavioral health coding.

Mental & Behavioral Health Employment Type:
Full-Time Pay:
$18 and up per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Work Location:
Commercial Blvd. / U.S. 441 area, South Florida
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately code mental health and behavioral health services
- Review clinical documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Review claims for accuracy and resolve billing errors
- Track unpaid, denied, and rejected claims
- Process payments and maintain accurate billing records
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims and reimbursements
- Maintain compliance with applicable billing, coding, and healthcare regulations
- Work closely with providers and office staff to resolve documentation or coding issues
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous medical coding and billing experience required
- Mental health/behavioral health coding experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Familiarity with insurance claims, denials, and accounts receivable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing software preferred
