Job Summary Clay Tennis & Padel Court Maintenance Technician Position Type:
Part-Time /

Early mornings, including weekends
Reports To:
Director & Facilities Manager Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, hands-on, and proactive Clay & Padel Court Maintenance Technician to maintain our tennis and padel courts, surrounding grounds, and overall facility appearance. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping courts in excellent playing condition and is comfortable working independently, particularly during early morning hours. This position requires someone who can recognize maintenance needs, take initiative, and complete daily responsibilities with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance and preparation of clay tennis courts , including: Dragging and brushing courts Watering courts and managing moisture levels Maintaining proper clay distribution and court consistency Filling divots, leveling low spots, and addressing worn areas Maintaining court lines and ensuring courts are match-ready Identifying and reporting drainage or surface issues Perform routine padel court maintenance , including cleaning playing surfaces, glass, fencing, nets, and surrounding areas. Maintain the grounds immediately surrounding the tennis and padel courts. Keep courts, walkways, entrances, and common outdoor areas clean, safe, and presentable. Assist with landscaping and general grounds maintenance as needed. Empty trash and maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas. Monitor court conditions and proactively address issues before they affect members or play. Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of court equipment and tools. Prepare courts and surrounding areas for daily play, lessons, events, and tournaments. Report equipment, facility, safety, or maintenance concerns promptly to the Director. Assist with special projects, facility improvements, events, and other duties as assigned by the Director. Follow all facility safety procedures and properly use and maintain assigned equipment. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience maintaining clay tennis courts is strongly preferred , but not necessary. Experience with padel court maintenance is a plus. Groundskeeping, landscaping, golf course, athletic facility, or other outdoor maintenance experience is helpful. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks without constant supervision. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a high-quality facility. Proactive mindset —able to identify what needs to be done and take care of it without being asked. Reliable and punctual, particularly for early-morning shifts. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Ability to safely operate basic grounds and maintenance equipment. Good communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude. Schedule & Work Environment This is an early-morning position , with regular weekend availability required . The successful candidate must be dependable and comfortable beginning work before the facility becomes active. Because court conditions can change with weather and usage, flexibility and the ability to respond to changing maintenance needs are important. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
