Job Description

Church Office Manager Friendship Church is seeking a dependable, organized, and welcoming Church Office Manager to join our ministry team. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities, and can provide professional and compassionate administrative support to our pastor, staff, ministry leaders, members, and guests. The Church Office Manager plays an important role in keeping the church office organized and ensuring that day-to-day administrative needs are handled efficiently and accurately.

Monday - Thursday; 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. What You'll Do
  • Manage daily church office operations.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and welcome visitors.
  • Provide administrative support to the pastor and church staff.
  • Maintain church records, files, calendars, and contact information.
  • Prepare church handouts, newsletters, announcements, correspondence, and other communications.
  • Assist with website, social media, and other church communications as needed.
  • Coordinate the church calendar and facility-use schedule.
  • Assist with scheduling and administrative needs for weddings, funerals, meetings, and church events.
  • Assist with invoices, receipts, reimbursements, reports, and routine recordkeeping.
  • Work with ministry leaders and volunteers to meet administrative needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding church members, staff, financial matters, and other sensitive information.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the church's ministry. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be:

  • Friendly, welcoming, and comfortable working with people of all ages.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with email and Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel, or Apple equivalents.
  • Excellent at grammar, spelling, proofreading, and editing.
  • Willing and able to learn church management and other administrative software.
  • Supportive of our church's mission, values, and ministry.
  • Someone with a genuine heart for serving others. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous office administration, church administration, nonprofit, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with bookkeeping, church management software, communications, or event coordination is a plus.
