Podiatry Biller and Office Manager Prairie View Foot & Ankle Leawood, KS Job Details Part-time $23 - $28 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Medical scheduling Attention to detail Healthcare practice operations management Handling patient inquiries Full Job Description Small, established podiatry practice seeking a dependable, experienced Biller & Office Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day business and billing operations of a small medical practice. This is a hands-on position for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and enjoys being an important part of a close-knit team.
Responsibilities include:
Medical billing and claims submission Insurance verification and eligibility Following up on unpaid and denied claims Accounts receivable and payment posting Patient billing and answering billing questions Prior authorizations and referrals, as needed as part of a team Managing front-office operations and workflow Assisting with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments Maintaining accurate patient and insurance information Working with physicians, staff, insurance companies, and patients Helping oversee the general administrative operations of the practice Other duties typical of a small medical office What we're looking for: Previous medical billing experience, preferably in a physician or podiatry practice Strong knowledge of insurance billing, EOBs, denials, and A/R Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities Professional, friendly, and patient-focused demeanor Comfortable taking initiative and solving problems without constant supervision The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being the person who keeps the office running smoothly—from making sure claims are paid to making sure patients have a positive experience.
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
