The Office Manager is responsible for the successful operation of all aspects of the Jefferson franchise office under the leadership of the Franchise Owner.
Primary Responsibilities:
Reflect the core values of the Jefferson Home Instead office. Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with all office personnel. Coordinates activities of departments such as staff coordinators, recruiting and retention of CAREGivers, client services and networking to affect operational efficiency and economy. Confers with departments and review activities and operations to determine changes in programs or operations. Directs preparation of directives outlining policy, program or operations changes to be implemented.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the office staff.
Participates and contributes to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, co-workers and Care Pros.
Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary
Education/Experience Requirements:
College Degree or equivalent work experience
One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
Must possess a valid driver's license
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for overseeing all functions performed by the office staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by the Jefferson Home Instead office.
This position must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
This position must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
The ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making
Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
The ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
The ability to establish good working relationships with office colleagues, the franchise owner, clients, CAREGivers and the community
The ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone
The ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor
The ability to operate office equipment
Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
Knowledge of the senior-care industry
Must be patient and congenial on the telephone
Ability to perform duties in a professional office setting
The ability to work as a part of a team
The ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills
