Assistant Office Manager - Long Island Radio Position Overview

Long Island Radio at CMG is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Office Manager - Assistant who will play an important role in keeping our fast-paced broadcast team organized, supported, and running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the center of daily office activity, supporting a variety of teams, and helping create a professional, welcoming workplace. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-focused, and comfortable supporting leadership, Sales, and other departments as needed. This role provides administrative, operational, and front-office support, including office coordination, reception functions, departmental support, public affairs coordination, and compliance-related administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be dependable, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities with sound judgment and confidentiality. This position is considered on-site essential.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide administrative support to local leadership, including scheduling, travel coordination, expense submission, correspondence, reporting, and presentation preparation

Manage day-to-day office operations, including supplies, vendor coordination, shipping, mail, postage, and general office organization

Manage reception functions, including greeting visitors, answering and directing calls, coordinating front-office coverage, and maintaining a professional, welcoming office environment

Provide cross-functional support to Sales and other departments as needed, including meeting preparation, client-related materials, reporting, follow-up items, internal communications, and document preparation

Coordinate staff meetings, team-building events, and other office activities, including logistics, food arrangements, facilities coordination, and related communications

Coordinate on-air public affairs efforts, including scheduling, tracking, documentation, and related communication needs

Maintain FCC online public files and support related compliance documentation

Support communication and consistent application of company messages, policies, procedures, and corporate initiatives

Respond to staff questions and direct employees to appropriate resources as needed

Process electronic I-9 documentation for new hires

Support additional projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Ability to quickly adapt to new technology solutions and follow established best practices

Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and work independently

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong spelling, punctuation, grammar, and proofreading skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, clients, visitors, listeners, and senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Knowledge of the broadcast or media industry is a plus The wage scale for this position is $22.21 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by a variety of factors such as skills, certifications, and relevant work experience.
