Job Description

Position Summary:
The Office Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the locating department. This position assists with daily data entry, work order processing, dispatching locate tickets to field technicians, monitoring work assignments, and communicating with field personnel and internal teams. The Office Administrator plays an important role in helping ensure locate requests are entered accurately, dispatched timely, and properly tracked through completion.
Skills and Experience:
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to enter, update, and maintain locate requests, work orders, and related information in company systems. Ability to dispatch locate work to field technicians based on workload, location, priority, and operational needs. Ability to monitor dispatched work and follow up on outstanding or delayed locate requests. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with locate technicians, supervisors, customers, and internal personnel. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing workloads in a fast-paced environment. Ability to identify missing or incorrect information and obtain clarification when necessary. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of an operations team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use company-specific software and dispatch systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive company and customer information appropriately.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role. Proven track record of managing office operations efficiently. Experience with scheduling and coordinating meetings and events. Familiarity with office equipment and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work. Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
