Job Description

Support the day-to-day operations of the bookstore. Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty and staff, ensuring timely support and effective use of campus learning resources. This position requires adaptability, cross-training, and a student-centered mindset.

Post-secondary training in business or a related field preferred. At least one year of experience in retail. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite preferably Word and Excel. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across service areas. Process sales (cash, card, online) and maintain accurate POS records. Maintain merchandise displays and ensure adequate stock of books, supplies, and branded materials. Receive, verify, and shelve shipments. Process returns and assist with buyback and inventory. Lead all outgoing shipments, including preparing boxes, creating labels, processing pickups, and managing tracking for all packages. Support preparation of textbook ordering for faculty and staff. Train and schedule work-study students or part-time help. Provide friendly, helpful customer service to students, employees, and vendors. Other duties as assigned to support efficient bookstore operations.

Part Time Schedule:
24 hours/week, scheduled between Monday-Saturday
