Primary Function:
Provide administrative support for Assistant State's Attorneys assigned to the
Bridgeview Courthouse Working Environment :
Hours:
Monday Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work:
The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Answer general questions from the public and provide the proper information and resources. Time date stamp and initial all incoming mail / packages. Type subpoenas, motions, answers and other correspondence as required. Input all discovery requests through Axon. Proofread and sort documents. File all necessary paperwork. Answer phone, transfer to appropriate individual and take messages. Run time sensitive, confidential criminal background checks/reports. Make copies, mail, scan, fax, and email documents. Prepare expungements. Sort and distribute mail. Maintain confidentiality of information and systems. Interact with State's Attorney's Office employees and personnel of outside agencies. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Proficiency in Microsoft Word applications required.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Nice, Share Point, Clerks, and CRIMES. Typing speed of 50+wpm.
