Dental Payment Posting and Office Support Specialist

Job Description

We're hiring a Payment Posting and Office Support Specialist for our centralized dental revenue cycle management (RCM) Hub. You'll split your week between running the Hub's on-site operations (mail, checks, faxes, scanning) and posting insurance payments in Open Dental for your own group of dental practices. About 90% of our payments arrive electronically, so mail volume varies week to week. Responsibilities On-site Hub operations (Monday, Wednesday, Friday): Pick up mail from the local post office twice a week Sort incoming mail, insurance checks, EOBs, and correspondence by practice Process virtual credit card (VCC) payments received by fax Flag time-sensitive and payment-related items Scan and distribute paper documents to remote RCM team members Keep physical and electronic records organized and HIPAA compliant Payment posting (every day, after Hub tasks are current): Post insurance payments in Open Dental from EFTs, ERAs, paper checks, and VCCs Review EOBs and ERAs so adjustments, write-offs, and patient responsibility post correctly Match payment documentation to deposits and patient accounts Research discrepancies and missing information until resolved Keep your assigned practices current and free of backlog Qualifications Dental office, dental billing, insurance, RCM, or payment posting experience Familiarity with dental EOBs, ERAs, insurance adjustments, and patient responsibility Strong organization and attention to detail Comfortable managing digital documents and working across multiple software systems Able to work independently and keep recurring tasks on schedule without reminders

Open Dental, DentalXChange, Vyne, Google Workspace Schedule and location Full-time, 40 hours per week
Hybrid:
